The moon's glow returned, and with it, a path. Elara followed it through the forest, past the whispering trees and into a cave hidden in the heart of the mountains. There, she found an ancient book, bound in moonlit silver and inked with the words of the moon itself. Elara opened the book and began to read, her voice growing stronger as she pronounced each word. The curse began to lift, the darkness receding as the light of her love returned. Elara looked into Alden's eyes, seeing the love and pain that mirrored her own. She knew that to stay would mean living with the pain of her broken heart, but to leave would mean the loss of the man she loved.

"Let us go together," she said, taking his hand. "Together, we can face the world and the cost of our love."
